AGEM appoints industry veteran Daron Dorsey as Executive Director
he Association of Game Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) announced on Monday the appointment of a gaming industry veteran Daron Dorsey as his incoming Executive director, effective March 1, 2022. Dorsey will replace Marcus Prater, who served as AGEM’s Executive Director since 2008.
Dorsey will start her new position next year after previously being Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Group Compliance Officer at Ainsworth Gaming Technology in Las Vegas. Dorsey has also been an Officer and General Counsel of AGEM since 2016.
In addition to his previous roles at AGEM and Ainsworth, Dorsey served as General Counsel for William Hill United States after several years of service with two established law firms – Snell & Wilmer LLP and Jolley Urga Wirth & Woodbury. Dorsey’s legal expertise is well documented, as he has been a member of the Nevada State Bar since 2001 and is admitted to practice in Nevada state and federal courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals. His ties to Las Vegas run deep and he remains strongly engaged with his alma mater, UNLV. Dorsey is currently a Trustee of the UNLV Foundation, as well as a member of the Alumni Leadership Circle, Dean’s Advisory Board, Gaming Law Advisory Board, and the William S. Boyd Law School Legal Fund of the UNLV, where he was honored as a lawyer. Alumnus of the year of the school in 2017.
