Busy with a video game in the hospital; PG student suspended

A PG student at a private medical school in Mangaluru has been suspended after a video clip of the student posted to the injured ward at Wenlock District Hospital allegedly playing a video game went viral on social networks.

The student provided clinical services at the hospital.

Instead of treating the patient, the PG student was found playing a video game using a computer.

After the video went viral, an investigation was carried out.

District surgeon Dr Sadashiva Shanbhog said the college management had suspended the student. The student has also been notified.
