Clockwork Acquario release date finally set for Switch and PS4
Publisher ININ Games has finally announced a digital release date for Mechanical acquario on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, a canceled arcade game that was finally finished decades later. Mechanical acquario received a digital release date of December 14, 2021 in North America and November 30, 2021 in Europe. It is not yet known when the special physical versions with Strictly Limited Games will ship.
As we reported earlier, Mechanical acquario was a colorful side-scrolling arcade game in development at Westone Bit Entertainment, but it was canceled in 1992 when it became apparent that 3D games were becoming the new trend. Ryuichi Nishizawa, co-founder of Westone Bit Entertainment and creator of wonder boy, designed Mechanical acquario, and with the support of the fans and ININ, he’s finally done the game. And he looks damn pretty in his ESRB trailer.
Here is what you can expect from Mechanical acquario as its Switch and PS4 release date finally approaches:
Mechanical Aquario features imaginatively created levels with beautiful colorful pixel graphics. Easy to pick up, addictive side-scrolling action and intuitive controls let you be instantly immersed in the action as you take on a multitude of villains! Choose your favorite character and face various unique enemies and bosses with Huck Londo, Elle Moon or the giant robot Gush, alone or with your favorite 2 player in cooperative mode! Completed by an incredible soundtrack from Westone legend Shinichi Sakamoto, Mechanical Aquario was worth the wait.
We’re going to be reviewing this one, so stay tuned!
