Get on your bike tomorrow with Riders Republic’s free PC game day – GameSpew
Republic of the Cavaliers arrives later this month, but if PC is your gaming rig of choice, you can preview it tomorrow.
This extreme sports simulation features limited single-player mode, but it aims to show off your skills to and against a range of opponents online. Ubisoft has called it a “massively multiplayer sports game” and has already unveiled its roadmap for the future of the game.
We got our hands on it and walked away rather impressed and now, provided you have a reasonably powered PC (check the minimum specifications here), you can dive into it tomorrow. The Republic of the Cavaliers “PC Play Day” will give you access to five career modes as well as several multiplayer modes – Mass Race, Versus Mode, Tricks Battle and Free for All.
Essentially, you’ll get to taste the incarnation from the game’s launch day, and any progress you make will be preserved if you choose to purchase the full PC version. Riders Republic will offer cross play, although Ubisoft has not confirmed that progress can be transferred between platforms.
So how do you participate in this day of PC gaming? In addition to having a suitable PC, you will need to register and download Ubisoft Connect, Ubisoft’s Steam-style DRM application You’ll also need to download the game in the app, but you can preload it right now so you don’t waste time.
PC Play Day runs from October 12 at 8 a.m. BST to October 13 at 8 a.m. BST. Republic of the Cavaliers releases this October 28, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PC and Google Stadia.
