GTA Trilogy Remastered on PC will be Rockstar Games Launcher exclusive

Rockstar Games announced this week that the remastered collection of the GTA Trilogy, officially known as the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, should finally launch next month on November 11. While many fans are delighted to see that Grand Theft Auto III, City of vice, and San Andreas come back with a new look, those on PC were a bit disappointed, especially with the bundle release.

Rockstar confirmed this week by announcing the release date of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition that on PC, the game will be exclusively available through the company’s own platform, the Rockstar Games Launcher. This means that if you were hoping to see the GTA Trilogy arrive on Steam, the Epic Games Store, or the Windows Store, you’re out of luck. Instead, you’ll need to install the Rockstar Games Launcher on your own PC if you haven’t already and purchase it through the Rockstar Storefront.

Overall, this is hardly surprising considering that Rockstar has released most of their titles this way on PC over the past few years. Yet, as history has shown us, Rockstar will tend to bring its games to other PC platforms later on. So if you keep hope to see Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition coming to Steam in the future, for example, there’s still a good chance that will eventually happen.

The only silver lining with manufacturing Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition available only through the Rockstar Games Launcher is that Rockstar is actually offering a limited time offer on the game. For those who purchase the remastered GTA Trilogy on PC before January 5, 2022, a $ 10 coupon will be added to your account for afterward. use it on another game. However, this voucher will only be available until January 16, 2022 and will disappear after that date.

Overall what do you think to see Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition to be exclusive to a single platform on PC at launch? Let me know your thoughts in the comments or on Twitter at @ Mooreman12.
