Home Entertainment Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis release details revealed – Cinelinx

Today, Warner Bros. revealed home entertainment details for the Baz Luhrmann biopic, Elvis, including special features fans can expect.

If you missed Elvis, or just can’t wait to take it home for further viewings, you won’t have to wait much longer. Today, WB announced that the film will be released digitally on August 9th (next week), with the physical 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray dropping on September 13.

A perfectly cinematic drama, the story of Elvis (Austin Butler) is seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). As Parker recounts, the film delves into the complex dynamic between the two spanning more than 20 years, from Presley’s rise to prominence to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the changing cultural landscape and the loss of innocence in America. At the center of this journey is one of the important and influential people in Elvis’ life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge).
