Inspired has received a game-related license in Ontario

Gaming technology and content provider Inspired Entertainment announced today that he had been awarded a game-related provider license from Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

Launch expected in the second quarter

The gaming license granted by the AGCO authorized the company to offer its games to any gaming operator approved by the gaming regulator of the Canadian province to offer online casino games in the province.

“The Ontario iGaming marketplace officially opens to licensed operators on April 4, 2022, and we are excited to be part of the newly regulated iGaming marketplace. »

Claire Osborne, Vice President, Interactive and Inspired Entertainment

Inspired plans to launch its gaming content in Ontario in the second quarter of 2022 and believes it will have at least 25 games certified by then. The provider’s portfolio will include some of its most popular titles, including Big Spin Bonus, Big Fishing Fortune, and the retro classic Space Invaders.

“With a population of nearly 15 million, Ontario’s demographics compare favorably to states like New Jersey or Michigan where we already operate. We expect Ontario to present a significant market opportunity for us, and we look forward to Ontario players enjoying our games.

Regulatory clearance in Ontario will allow Inspired to strengthen its Canadian presence through its long-time client Loto Quebec. The partnership with the lottery operator already offers the best interactive casino content from Inspired.

Partnership with industry heavyweights

South of the border, Inspired continued to expand its presence in regulated gaming jurisdictions, with Connecticut becoming the latest US state to license the provider’s gaming content. Earlier this month, Inspired launched its portfolio of popular online casino games with Boston-based gaming and technology company DraftKings.

The Constitutional State has become the third regulated gaming jurisdiction in the United States to offer Inspired’s gaming content, expanding the provider’s presence in New Jersey and Michigan, where the B2B content provider has launched some of its game titles in July and May of last year.

To assert its presence in markets where it already has a presence and expand into new jurisdictions, the B2B gaming content provider is partnering with some of the gaming industry heavyweights, such as Rush Street Interactive (RSI ) and GAN.

Inspired partnered with Chicago-based RSI in December to integrate its game titles into the RSI platform and launch products in New Jersey, Michigan, and West Virginia, as well as other jurisdictions in which the partnership could take effect.

Last month, Inspired Entertainment launched its online gaming content in Michigan with GAN’s content aggregation platform.
