SampleRadar Advent Calendar: 223 Free Retro Video Game Samples
Every day until December 25th, we are sharing a free sample pack as part of our SampleRadar Advent Calendar.
As a kid, SampleRadar spent more time than he cares remembering to flip through his Game Boy and wander the local arcade. It is therefore with a certain sentimentality that this week he approaches the collection of retro video game sounds.
Created using a plethora of synths and hardware and software effects, this is the sample set you need if you want to create a chiptune opus or give your productions a hint of that. 8 bit flavor.
What would you like to know
The samples are divided into three folders: Beats, FX and Loops. Each contains sounds of that particular variety.
All samples are provided as 24-bit WAV files and can therefore be imported directly into your DAW or the sampler of your choice. Because they are royalty free, you can use the samples in your music however you want – all we ask is not to redistribute them.
The retro video game samples come in a zip file, so you’ll need to extract them before you can view them. Enjoy!
