The best video game trailer you’ll see this week is about brake pads • Eurogamer.net
And a new look extended to Gran Turismo 7.
There are game trailers, then there are Polyphony Digital game trailers – over-the-top, melodramatic, and often wonderful, the one just dropped to announce a new partnership with Brembo might just be a new favorite. .
It delivers a brilliantly sullen monochrome look at the factories of Italian brake maker Brembo – a place that I thought might have been fairly unremarkable, but the strained Hollywood soundtrack and loving images of all these machines convinced me otherwise. By the time these pads were bolted onto an Audi R8 GT3, I’ll admit I was on the edge of my seat.
There is also a lot more new Gran Turismo 7 footage in the trailer, showing off what is sure to be a spectacular game. The recently announced partnership with Brembo apparently extends to Gran Turismo’s brake systems, and is also neatly tied to the return of more granular car customization in next year’s PlayStation exclusive, which will allow gamers to exchange parts when they modify their cars.
We recently had the chance to chat with series creator Kazunori Yamauchi to discuss what to expect when Gran Turismo 7 launches next March.
