Vaccination policy at Dodger Stadium or proof of negative test to comply with public health order
With the National League divisional series now moving to Dodger Stadium, fans attending games must comply with a new order from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health that went into effect Thursday at midnight.
Customers of indoor parts of bars, wineries, distilleries, nightclubs and lounges must prove at least one dose of a vaccine against the coronavirus (COVID-19). Two doses will be needed from November 4.
Unvaccinated customers and employees are only permitted in areas outside of the aforementioned facilities.
Additionally, people 12 and older who attend an outdoor mega event of at least 10,000 people must show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours.
With this, the Dodgers are demanding that fans aged 12 and over present at the entrance gates of Dodger Stadium proof of a full vaccination or negative test taken within 72 hours of the date of the event.
A person is fully vaccinated if at least two weeks have passed since receiving their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or their single dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The Dodgers consider the following acceptable forms of proof of complete vaccination: the participant’s COVID-19 vaccination card; OR a photo of the participant’s vaccination card as a separate document; OR a photo of the participant’s immunization card stored on the person’s phone or electronic device; OR documentation of participant’s full COVID-19 vaccine status from a healthcare provider (on mobile app, paper document, digital wallet card).
Vaccination cards / records should clearly indicate the name of the participant vaccinated, the type of vaccine given and the date (s) each dose was received.
To show proof of a negative test taken within 72 hours of the game at Dodger Stadium, the team requests the participant to present a printed document from the test provider or laboratory showing the result of the negative test; OR an email or text message displayed on the participant’s phone or electronic device from the test provider or laboratory.
The test results should clearly indicate the name of the participant being tested, the type of test performed, the date of the test (which must be within 72 hours) and the negative result of the test.
San Francisco has required proof of vaccination for staff and customers of dining establishments, gyms and indoor entertainment venues since August 20. San Francisco also has a mask mandate for all domestic businesses.
Dodger Stadium Mask Policy
In addition to proof of a full vaccination or a negative test result, all persons two years of age and over who attend a game at Dodger Stadium must continue to wear an appropriate mask or face covering, except when ‘they actively eat or drink in their ticketed seats or at a table. .
Neck warmers, bandanas and masks with valves are still not considered suitable face coverings.
